Crowns and Bridge Post-Op Care
If you receive a dental crown or bridge, please be sure to:

  • Avoid chewing on the treated area until the numbness wears off.
  • Maintain proper oral hygiene, including regular brushing and flossing.
  • Avoid sticky or hard foods that may dislodge the crown or bridge.
  • Attend follow-up appointments for adjustments and monitoring.

Dentures Post-Op Care
After you have received a set of dentures:

  • Keep your dentures in place for the recommended time frame.
  • Remove and clean your dentures daily to maintain oral hygiene.
  • Use denture adhesives if needed, following the instructions provided.
  • Attend regular check-ups to ensure proper fit and functionality.

Tooth Extractions Post-Op Care
Following a tooth extraction, you should:

  • Bite gently on the gauze pad provided to control bleeding.
  • Apply ice packs to reduce swelling, alternating 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off.
  • Take prescribed pain medication and follow the instructions carefully.
  • Follow a soft food diet, avoiding hot liquids and smoking.

Dental Veneers Post-Op Care
To take care of your veneers, please be sure to:

  • Avoid consuming hard or sticky foods that may damage the veneers.
  • Maintain excellent oral hygiene, including regular brushing and flossing.
  • Attend follow-up appointments for adjustments and monitoring.
  • Use a bite guard if you grind your teeth to protect your veneers.

Scaling & Root Planing Post-Op Care
Following scaling and root planing, you should:

  • Maintain proper oral hygiene, including regular brushing and flossing.
  • Avoid consuming hot or spicy foods for the first 24 hours.
  • Rinse your mouth with warm saltwater to promote healing.
  • Attend regular dental cleanings and follow-up appointments as recommended.

Root Canal Treatment Post-Op Care
To ensure your treatment is a success, please be sure to:

  • Take prescribed pain medication as directed.
  • Avoid chewing on the treated tooth until the permanent restoration is placed.
